Ferro Backup System is a network application for data backup and archiving based on the client/server architecture. Allows you to back up servers, workstations and laptops running Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The program, via the central management module, allows for easy and automatic backups for multiple computers at the same time.

Due to the use of differential archiving and compression on the workstation side, it allows to archive data from all computers in the local network in a short time. Ferro Backup System does not require tape drives to work (although it supports them in Professional and Enterprise versions) - it uses many times cheaper and more generous hard drives for this purpose. This, combined with low system and hardware requirements, as well as an attractive price of the program, results in very low implementation and maintenance costs with equally high reliability.

Ferro Backup System works in client/server architecture and allows to protect computers connected to the computer network. Backup can include individual files and directories or entire hard drives. In case of a failure, it gives the possibility to restore the archived data and the operating system with installed programs.

The application operates on the basis of a web interface, which can be accessed via a web browser. This solution allows administrators to manage the backup system from a remote computer or tablet. It also allows several administrators to use the program at the same time and offers three levels of access security:

administrator, operator and observer. Due to the use of differential archiving, compression on the side of workstations, parallel execution of tasks Ferro Backup System allows to make copies of files from all computers connected to the local network in a very short time. Ferro Backup System does not require an expensive server, server version of the operating system or tape drives.

Due to the fact that data compression takes place on the side of workstations and not on the server, the archiving server can be used for a regular, cheap PC with a larger hard disk. If the connection is broken, the archiving tasks will be suspended and completed after re-establishing the connection without the need for the administrator to intervene. To use Ferro Backup System you do not need to change anything in the current configuration of your computer network, servers and office computers.

Ferro Backup System works completely independently of existing services, account configuration and security. The option of automatically releasing disk space in combination with the alert module, which sends the administrator information about possible errors and warnings via e-mail, reduces the need for constant supervision of the program. Archiving is done in the background and is not noticeable to ordinary employees of the company.
