Expression Web is Microsoft's Expression Studio tool for creating web applications, next to SharePoint Designer, one of the successors of FrontPage. Expression Web is supposed to be a competition for Adobe Dreamwaver, complemented by Expression Blend and Expression Design products developed in parallel. The program allows you to create pages using the WYSIWYG method, and at the same time provides very advanced editing capabilities allowing you to create applications in PHP, HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET and ASP.NET AJAX technologies.
Noteworthy is the SuperPreview function integrated with the tool, thanks to which it is possible to view in real time the designed website under different browsers. Expression Web 4 gained support for .NET 4, thanks to which it integrates well with Visual Studio 2010. This version of the application includes functions supporting website optimization for search engines, as well as options for creating extensions using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The SuperPreview feature, which allows you to preview the site live in several browsers, has in turn gained Safari support. The Trial version retains its functionality for 60 days after installation.
