Exifer is a very popular and effective tool for managing metadata that is stored in image files. The application supports EXIF (up to version 2.2) / IPTC metadata stored in JPEG and TIFF files, enables their editing (JPEG files only), backup, restoration and comparison, as well as export/import to/from external files.
