Evil Player is a simplified to the limit, minimalist audio player that supports most of the most popular audio recording formats and allows you to listen to Internet streams (SHOUTcast/ICEcast/ICEcast2). Both the interface of this small application as well as its functionality has been reduced to an absolute minimum. The player's main window, apart from the simple playlist and slider for scrolling songs, does not offer any additional functions.

All of them are available via hotkeys or context menus. These include basic options to pause, pause and resume playback, define playback mode, manage playlists, modify tags and search for selected songs. In addition, Evil Player offers the user the ability to play and record web streams, manage the association of files with the program, support for plug-ins and graphics themes.

From the application settings you can adjust the transparency level of the player window and select an active audio device used to play audio files. Other Evil Player features include support for proxy servers, Last.fm support and the ability to operate from the system tray. The application supports WAV, OGG, MP1, MP2, MP3, MOD, XM, IT, S3M, MTM, UMX and MO3 audio formats.
