ESET Online Scanner is a lightweight and free on-demand virus scanner to protect your computer against harmful components. With its help we can easily detect and remove from the operating system such threats as viruses, malware, spyware, Trojan horses, etc. The software is based on the same virus signature databases as the popular ESET Smart Security and NOD32 Antivirus, without requiring installation.

It provides effective protection of the Windows operating system against all kinds of pests, such as stealing confidential data or displaying stubborn advertisements. ESET Online Scanner is fully automated - once activated, a thorough scan of the system and the locations of the most susceptible to infection is carried out. ESET Online Scanner checks applications running in parallel with the system (so called autostart), scans the boot sectors of the disk and thus detects threats that start before system boot, scans files in the system registry, and cures infections where rebooting is required to effectively remove the threat and detects potentially dangerous and unwanted applications.
