EF Commander is one of the oldest Windows file managers, which is being developed to this day. The most interesting advantages of EF Commander include support for multiple file archives without the need to install additional applications (7-Zip, ACE, ARC, ARJ, BZIP2, CAB, CPIO, GZIP, IMG, ISO, LHA, RAR, RPM, SFX, SQX, TAR, TBZ, TGZ, ZIP, Zip64, ZOO), the function of dividing and linking large files, integration with XnView and IrfanView programs extending support for further file types or displaying thumbnails of files. The program also offers a built-in FTP client, a function to generate and check checksums (SFV, MD5 and SHA1) and the option to burn discs if the Nero Burning ROM application is installed in the system.

The EF Commander interface largely resembles the unrivalled industry leader Total Commander. There is also a version for Windows 98/Me available on the manufacturer's website.
