DVDFab Virtual Drive is a simple and free tool to create virtual CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drives in Windows and to mount disc images in them. The program allows to create as many as 18 virtual drives, in which we can mount images of discs in BIN, DVD, IMG, ISO, UDF, NRG and CCD formats. This allows you to access the contents of the media in the same way as if you had recorded the image on a disc and then placed it in the reader.

Such a solution, apart from the lack of the need to burn data on the media, has one significant advantage - it allows to emulate multiple drives, when on average there are only 1-2 physical readers installed in the computer. In addition, the data transfer rate is much higher and the computer itself generates less noise. This is important in the case of installing, for example, games that occupy several discs.

After starting DVDFab Virtual Drive adds its icon in the system tray. You can manage virtual drives and images installed in them. The program allows you to automatically mount the last image, disassemble all drives after closing the tool, start up with the system, and manage images from the context menu.

Despite the many advantages, the program offers much less possibilities than, for example, the free DAEMON Tools Lite. However, this is compensated for by its small size, minimal use of system resources and speed.
