DVD X Player is a program that allows you to play DVD movies from all regional codes via most commercially available optical drives (except for the Matshita DVD-RAM series, Sony VAIO and Toshiba Satellite). The region skip function also works after changing the region assigned to the DVD reader five times. In addition to playing back standard DVD media, the application also supports such formats as VCD, CD, DivX, XviD, MPEG-4, QuickTime, Real and MacroMedia Flash.

DVD X Player has full support for Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC-3), Digital Theater System (DTS), Dolby Surround and multichannel audio decoding (up to 7.1). In addition, DVD X Player offers the ability to rip DVD content to various popular formats supported by mobile devices (iPod, iPhone, Sony PSP, Zune, BlackBerry, Zen, Smart Phone, PMP, etc.). DVD X Player also allows you to select your favourite scenes in a movie and return to them at any time, watch movies on the desktop and work simultaneously thanks to Desktop Video mode or create snapshots of frames from the currently watched movie.
