DMDE (DM Disk Editor and Data Recovery Software) is an advanced and free-of-charge tool for recovering data from individual partitions, entire hard disks or pendrives. The program also supports recovery from partitions with NTFS, FAT12/16, FAT32, exFAT, Ext2/3/4 and RAID file systems. After running the application (it is worth mentioning that this application does not require installation - it is enough to extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP archive) and indicating the device from which to recover data, the program will start scanning, which will result in a list of volumes.

From this list, select the option you are interested in, which in turn will take you to the main DMDE window, where you will see the tree of directories, the list of files and folders and the preview in the editor. All that remains is to select the files and folders to be recovered and to select the external drive on which you want to save the data to be restored. In addition to the basic functionality, the program also has a built-in search engine, an option to reconstruct volumes, copy and fill in sectors, a bootsector insight and support for several encoding standards, including Unicode.

There is also available a console version of the application, designed for advanced users who need to run DMDE from DOS or Linux.
