DiscRipper is a free toolkit for ripening DVD-Video and Audio-CD media. Using it, you can back up your favorite movies and music to your local computer disk, which you can then play back on your portable player, smartphone, tablet, etc. The program allows you to copy the full or selected content of the media and save it in the specified quality on your computer's hard drive.

The offered functions and tools enable you to ripple both DVD movies and music from CDs. In the case of the former, the user has the ability to define any titles for chapters, as well as the ability to rip content that takes into account only the selected language version of the soundtrack and subtitles. The video material will be saved in MPEG4, AVI, WMV, XVid and other formats.

There were also predefined settings for iPod, iPhone, PSP and Creative Zen devices. DiscRipper also includes a tool for ripping music. It allows you to copy the contents of the disc in its original format to your hard disk and compress it to MP3, OGG and APE files.

The user can define the quality of the recorded audio, and the program itself will optionally download tags, texts and covers from the Internet.
