Deluxe Pacman is a very successful attempt to recreate the original created and released by Namco, a Japanese computer game developer. The game debuted in 1980 on slot machines, soon afterwards moving to the Atari 2600 or Commodore 64 platforms. Each time the game takes place on a static board which is a more or less complicated maze filled with colourful balls.
We control a large, greedy, yellow ball in such a way that we swallow as many colourful spots as possible in the shortest possible time. The main obstacle is Pinky, Inky, Blinky and Clyde, four unruly spirits trying to foil our plans at all costs. Luckily, from time to time, there are various kinds of helpers on the board, allowing us to curb the evil intentions of our enemies.
The title, despite its simplicity, requires from the player great dexterity, brilliance, and above all, quick thinking and the ability to anticipate each subsequent move. All this in order to always be one step ahead, as if it wasn't friendly in its own way, colorful souls. The game is still able to capture the screen for long moments and at the same time evoke memories from those years...
