DarkWave Studio is a free, open source application designed to create music on the Windows platform. The program includes modules such as Virtual Studio, Pattern Editor, Sequence Editor and Multitrack Hard Disk Recorder. One of the most important benefits of DarkWave Studio is the ability to take full advantage of the capabilities of the components available on your computer.
In multimedia editing applications, this is extremely important because the project rendering process can use a lot of system resources. DarkWave Studio is available for 32 and 64-bit architecture, can leverage the processing power of multiple cores and processors, and offers support for SSE2 technology when offered by the CPU. DarkWave Studio is based on support for virtual instruments (VST / VSTi) and a number of plugins that add new sound effects to the program.
By default, the application has been equipped with such plugins as ES MIDI Input, ES MIDI Output, ES Mixer, ES DGenR8, ES BassHead, ES SpatialVerb, ES Stomp, ES AntiAlias and ES QuadDelay. In any case it is possible to mix audio with any number of plug-ins. The different stages of music production are divided into bookmarks also known as rooms.

DarkWave Studio also allows you to record audio signals from any machine and save to WAV format. At the post-production stage it is possible to convert audio to such formats as MP3/FLAC, etc.
