DAEMON Tools Lite is one of the best and most advanced programs for creating virtual CD/DVD drives in Windows. Thanks to it, we will be able to mount the image files of discs and use them as standard media, also in the case of protected data. The biggest advantage of the application is the ability to emulate security technologies such as Safedisc, Securom, Laserlock, CDCOPS, StarForce and Protect CD.

This type of solution is very useful in the case of programs or games that require a disc permanently placed in the installation drive to work properly. After installation, the program is available from the system tray, from where it can be easily operated. The application enables simultaneous use of several virtual drives for mounting various types of discs, e.g.

CD, DVD, Blu-ray. In addition to the drive emulation function itself, DAEMON Tools Lite is also equipped with an interesting tool for copying discs. Allows you not only to copy the contents of the media to the image, but also to protect it with a password.

The program also offers the possibility of recording image files, but in order for this function to be unlocked, it is necessary to pay for and activate the appropriate function. The application enables compression of images to save disk space when archiving large amounts of data. Thanks to it we can also install virtual machine disks and encrypted TrueCrypt containers.

DAEMON Tools Lite is software available for free for non-commercial use. A paid version with extended functionality is also available. The program interface is available in the Polish language version, the application also offers full support for new versions of Windows.
