CutePDF Writer (formerly known as CutePDF Printer) is a free version of the popular PDF file creator for both home and commercial use. The tool is installed in the system as a virtual "printer", enabling the creation of PDF files in all applications that offer the user the possibility of printing - e.g. Windows Notepad, Microsoft Word text editor, Picasa cataloguing software or any web browser.

The program includes the necessary PostScript interpreter - Ghostscript. The program requires a PS2PDF converter to work. During installation, the wizard proposes to download and install it.
