CoreConfigurator is a great tool for administrators without a graphical interface of Windows Server 2008 - especially for those who can't cope with the initial configuration or simply would prefer to do it by "clicking" rather than typing in long commands. After copying to Core server (no installation required), the application starts in the window and through GUI allows administrators to perform such actions as activation, resolution change, remote desktop setting, managing local accounts, firewall, network interfaces, changing computer name and membership, WinRM configuration and finally installation of server roles and functions.
