ConTEXT is a small and free application, which is an ideal alternative to the Windows Notepad. In addition to the ability to create ordinary texts, it is also perfect for working with source code in the most popular programming languages. The program offers a classic and very intuitive graphical interface, in which most of the area is dedicated to text editing.

ConTEXT has an integrated file manager, a simple console and a macro mechanism. Enables convenient editing and manipulation of text, supports project workspaces, code templates, allows you to mark selected files as favorites and view the history of edited items. Other application options include comparing files, exporting them to HTML/RTF, commenting on the code, sorting text, viewing the content of text documents on the tabs, searching for and replacing the indicated phrases, etc.

The application also offers the following options. ConTEXT supports Unicode and the following programming languages: DO#, C/C++, Delphi/Pascal, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Perl/CGI, HTML, CSS, SQL, FoxPro, Assembler 80x86, Question, PHP, Tcl/Tk, XML, Fortran and many more.
