CometBird is a noteworthy web browser built on the basis of the popular Firefox. It has been equipped with several interesting solutions, mainly influencing comfort and ease of use. As in the case of the original CometBird after installation, it offers the user only basic functionality, enabling easy and fast browsing of Internet resources.

The whole thing is packaged in a simple graphical interface, which by definition allocates as much space as possible for displaying websites and offers, among others, card browsing, blocking pop-up windows, built-in file download manager, spell-checking function, etc. The system is equipped with a simple and intuitive interface. The functionality of the browser can be extended at any time.

CometBird supports all Firefox-specific extensions. On the add-ons page you can find plug-ins grouped into thematic categories: Alarms and updates, Channels, news and blogs, Cards, Interface modifications, Language tools, Site developers' tools, Toolbars, Downloads, Privacy and security, Social and communication, Bookmarks, Photos, Music and videos, Various.

More interesting extensions include those related to mouse gestures, checking the status of email accounts and RSS readers or file download accelerators. The browser also supports graphical themes created for Firefox. Among the features and tools that you will not find in Firefox, and which can certainly be useful for most users, you should mention the built-in mechanism of the translator and notes.

Additionally, CometBird is equipped with a tool that allows you to easily and conveniently download clips from websites such as YouTube, DailyMotion, etc. to your computer. With just a few mouse clicks, the selected video is saved on your computer's hard drive.

Another feature is the option of previewing the websites opened in the tabs. It is located on the right side of the title bar and is responsible for displaying thumbnails of viewed pages on a special bar. From this level you can change the order of the cards, as well as search and close them.
