Clip Studio Ex, formerly known as Manga Studio, is a specialized drawing program designed to create manga, but will also work well for other types of comics. Here you'll find the tools you need to draw precise contours, colour, shading and digital equivalents of raster. At Manga Studio we have different types of hand-writable pencils, several types of nibs and thin caps for contours, paints and coloured pencils, airbrush, several erasers, as well as stamps with characteristic patterns.

The behaviour of the tools is similar to their natural patterns, so you can mix paints, smear pencils, and calligraphy. In addition, you can use vector shapes, fillings, gradients and automatically generated shadows. You can import 3D models and scanned sketches into the program, which will be used to compose the frame.

You can also use rulers and formats to divide the page in different ways. The same installation of the program allows you to test Manga Studio and Manga Studio EX for 30 days, without the possibility of saving and exporting works. Versions of the program differ in terms of possibilities and price.
