One of the few, completely free antivirus programs, created on the basis of the open source ClamAV engine. The program is still at the development stage and does not yet support all the functions of the original, so its capabilities in relation to its commercial equivalents are quite limited. At the moment ClamWin allows you to detect and remove a large number of viruses and spyware components using a manual scanner, plan ahead of time scanning, quarantine infected files, automatically download virus signature database updates, scan individual files from the Windows Explorer context menu, as well as delete infected messages in Microsoft Outlook.

The main drawback of the program is the lack of resident protection for scanning currently opened files, not the best virus detection and poor interface.
