CamStudio is a free program for recording video sequences from the desktop of the computer mainly to create demonstrations. Along with the video sequences we can also record the sound from the microphone (e.g. commentary on demonstrated activities).

The program records all operations performed by the user - mouse cursor movements, application launch, text entry, etc., also on a separate part of the desktop. Version 2.0 additionally enables conversion of standard generated AVI files to Flash animations (SWF).
