A simple, free scanner for Bluetooth devices. BlueSweep identifies Bluetooth-enabled devices by name, manufacturer, and active connections between them. In this way, the user is able to detect Bluetooth equipment (mobile phones, notebooks, printers) in his environment, thus eliminating sources of interference and protecting himself against possible dangers.
This is particularly important in the face of emerging viruses spread by Bluetooth technology. An example of such a virus can be the Cabir worm, working in the Symbian OS environment mainly in mobile phones that have the ability to transmit Bluetooth.
