Bitdefender Ransomware Recognition Tool is a program designed to identify ransomware threats. In special cases, the program that decrypts the data can also be pushed forward. The program window has two fields that the user should complete:
the path to the ransom note and the path to the folder containing encrypted files. Only one thing can be completed, but this reduces the chances of the risk being properly recognised. On the basis of an encrypted file and a note with a ransom request, the program will indicate which type of ransomware probably crept into the tested computer.
There is no 100% certainty here, but we will get the percentage of probability. This information is analyzed in the Bitdefender cloud, but our data is not sent there. If a decryption tool is available, a link to download it will appear.
After each scan, you will find 2 log files in the %temp%_DTool directory, where you will also find the result of ransomware recognition. It is also worth noting that the Bitdefender Ransomware Recognition Tool can be used from the command line: BDRansomRecognitionTool.exe -note:C:【Decrypt_my_files.html;
-test:C:Å'Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å"Å");
