Artweaver is a simple and free program used primarily for painting from scratch (similarly to Corel Painter), rather than editing ready-made paintings or photos. The application provides digital but realistic equivalents of the tools used by plastics - various types of brushes, pen, carbon, chalk, pencil, pencil, crayon, marker, eraser, and so on. It offers layers and transparency that are useful for creating graphics.

There are several dozen filters available in the program, which can be extended with the use of external plug-ins. Supports proprietary graphics format (AWD) as well as popular BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, TGA, TIFF and PNG. A very helpful function is the support for tablets so that you can paint in the program as for example on a sheet of paper.
