Like most file managers, Altap Salamander is based on the classic interface philosophy (two panels) taken from Norton Commander. The program offers all standard functions that can be found in this type of programs such as folder preview, file operations, etc.

with the possibility to call them by means of keyboard shortcuts. What distinguishes Altap Salamander is the ability to extend functionality through plugins. Thanks to them, already in the standard installed program we have at our disposal, among others, support for compressed ZIP, RAR, ARJ, CAB, ACE and TAR/GZIP files, the possibility of previewing images, etc.
